It still looks like there's a leaf stuck in the grille with the new Seagrave nameplate.......I don't like it........not the rig, the nameplate.

Massachusetts Fire Apparatus - KDWMAEMT - 06-15-2007

The nameplate, as I was told, is an anniversary nameplate. What anniversary, I dont know since Im not even sure thats the real reason for it. I believe its an option, but I could be wrong.

The name plate is for the 125th anniversary of Seagrave. Since I no longer rep for them, I'm not entirely sure how they choose it, but it was either for units produced during the aniiversary or ordered during the anniversary. Last I heard they were thinking about keeping it as a standard logo.

It's very similar to a logo they used from the early 1900's unitil the 40's, although I don't know if they put it on the rigs back then. It may have been strickly a marketing thing.

As she sits today, Somerville/Metro lettering removed, as i said before she is and has been sitting behind Engine 4/TL1 for years.

Took advantage of a perfect weather day here in the Boston area and went to Brookline to photograph their nre Tower 1. Its a 2007 E\-One 100' Bronto Skylift. First time Ive seen one of these in person......and its HUGE!!!!!!

Massachusetts Fire Apparatus - KDWMAEMT - 06-20-2007

And it replaced this 1995 105' Pierce Arrow rearmount.

Massachusetts Fire Apparatus - KDWMAEMT - 06-20-2007

And I managed to get these photos in Watertown on my way home. This is a 2006 95' E\-One rearmount tower ladder. And then an inside station shot of the tower alongside WFD Engine 1s 1994 E\-One Protector. They are due to recieve a new E\-One 100' rearmount for L2 by summers end, so I guess Ill have to go back.

Nice truck, but what in the heck is in the background?

Massachusetts Fire Apparatus - KDWMAEMT - 06-20-2007

That is the Deer Island Sewage Treatment Plant run my the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority or MWRA. That pic only shows a small portion of the plant. Heres a pic I took last summer from Boston harbor which shows how massive the plant is.

Massachusetts Fire Apparatus - Guest - 06-20-2007

Thanks for the quick response Kevin. For being what it is, its a pretty cool structure.

Massachusetts Fire Apparatus - Citywide 231 - 06-20-2007

MWRA, which controls the plant purchased the truck for the town, along with most of the equipment carried on it. SO besides the fact that it makes a cool backdrop, thats why I chose that particular location to photograph the truck.
