Relics - englt542 - 12-17-2007 Its not Columbia #4's Mack Relics - Guest - 12-19-2007
Plus, the fender compartments are different too. yes they are. long double door on the relic, singles on the Philly rig.
Ummm Mike - Philly Mack's had 2 Compartments over each rear wheel. The one in question has 2 compartments over the rear as well... Cant tell what is on the driver's side. The Suction Hose could have been added in the referb... Hard to say. Relics - kieferfire - 12-20-2007 About 12 years ago I found this old Dodge fm-pumper sitting behind the River Inn Hotel/Restaurant in the Big Sur area of California. Maybe once a hotel-owned private fire truck? Body builder unknown. Juergen Kiefer photo Relics - kieferfire - 12-20-2007 This old International V-190 with ALF bodywork I found along US-89 in southern Utah, lettered for Long Valley. Sorry, no ALF # no. Juergen Kiefer photo Relics - kieferfire - 12-20-2007 This 1963 Crown with rare four-door cab I found behind the fire-station in Springdale/Utah. Unfortunately, no one was around. I found out, that this Crown with the # F-1290 with 1250 gpm-pump and 500 gallon-tank was originally in service with the L.A. County FD and later sold to Springdale. Maybe someone knows, if this beauty was saved ? Juergen Kiefer photo Relics - jma02 - 12-23-2007 This is truly sad for me. This rig is 1973 Seagrave I grew up with. It was Pumper 4 unitl the station was closed in the early 1980's. It then spent time as Pumper 6 and finished up its service as Pumper 1 until the current one arrived in 1996. This rig was involved in a serious accident in the late 1980's when it and Pumper 6 hit at an intersection. I thought she was done then but the city fixed her up. Now to see her is sad. She it sitting behind a toy store falling to pieces. <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> Relics - jma02 - 12-23-2007 Relics - jma02 - 12-24-2007 Here is the above listed Seagrave in 1989 when it was involved in an accident with another pumper responding to a building fire. Credit to Dale Brown for the photo. Relics - Guest - 12-26-2007 This alf engine is at Bernies junk yard. Relics - Guest - 12-26-2007 1980 American lafrance ex from FDNY. One is to shoot at least one Young Crusader, the other was to shoot at least one Maxim F model. Well, here's the F-model I shot! It's been mentioned on the boards many times, but after it went OOS back in the early 2000's it went MIA. I finally found the old gal parked on Sevierville HWY in Maryville, TN. Gatlinburg, TN "X Ladder 1" 1971 Maxim FFC262L100 0/0/100' Maxim (the sticker on the aerial said 85') S/N # 2864 Motor # F817G200573 Delivered: April 1971 X: Port Washington, NY "Ladder 1" (According to Bill F's database...I've also heard it's ex-Westerly, RI "Ladder 1" which is S/N # 2874) Andrew Messer Photo (2008) |
