Fireman Joe I have quite a few. The Rescue is a 99/00 E\-One and as you will see the graphics changed over the years due to the local radio designation changes. This was one of the first E-Ones with a 10 year paint warranty which has come in handy since it has been repainted 4 times due to poor pait application. Currently there is a committee specing a new one to replace it in 2009.

Here is a pic when it first went into service with the 87 E\-One it replaced
Wow a new rescue for a new station. <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cool.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='B)' />

What is the TSU's job? Mainly spec ops stuff or is it jus another term for a heavy rescue.
VFN,

Dale City removed the roto-ray because it is not part of their standard warning light package.

Wagon Master and Memphis,

Yes it is the same truck. It was referbed by the DCVFD shop to create more equipment storage and modernize/standardize the emergency and scene lights.

• The body had a window removed on each side and the back squared up to get more equipment storage space.

• Both the rear and front winch were removed and sold off

• Crew cab area turned into a command/ operations area

• Anything that would make you think this was a rescue was removed and sold off

• Aluminum rims were added

This unit got quite a make over but it still was 200k less than a new unit.
Thanks for your reply... the shops did some great work on that piece. I was really sold tthat it was a different rig.

Prince William County VA - drfeelgood - 02-27-2008

Dr., your welcome. Some of the greats are gone but need to be remebered.

Big, it was not planned that way but the replacement schdule is 10 years for large units.

Chasselber1, I will have your answer soon.

Wagon Master, It took quite a bit of time but the rig turned out really well.

E508 looks NICE.

Prince William County VA - yvfdfirefighter - 02-28-2008

Our second Engine (Engine 508B) should be done by April and will identical to Engine 508A.

Prince William County VA - Chasselber1 - 02-28-2008

Thanks Dr. that explains it.

Prince William County VA - paganores10cue - 02-28-2008

Why did you guys put "A" on it? There is no "A" in COG, it is only "B". It should be E508, and E508B when you are running the second out engine.

I still like the sound of "Wagon 508." How far down would the alphabet go if a station had 3 or more engines?

Prince William County VA - yvfdfirefighter - 02-28-2008

Yeah... I don't know why they went with the "A", but it still looks good.

The medics in PWC are going as high as "D".

Everyone heard about the probable merger between Manassas VRS and Manassas VFD?
