End of an era, of sorts.
Rowley, MA Engine 4. 1987 HCP15, 1500/1000. Don't remember the S/N right now.
She left yesterday for body & electrical work, sort of a refurb but not really. The outline won't change much, but it will get a new paint job, striping, and lettering. Brandywine 100 Fire company, Bellefonte DE Puirchased this 1930 Hahn. 500gpm Northern Pump.
This is one of the Hahn Fire apparatus that was built at the Selden plant in Allentown PA
In 1929 Hahn purchased Selden Motor truck company located in Allentown PA.
Hahn built vehicles at this location (under the Hahn name) untill the plant was closed in 1932.
This shows the distinctive grill style of the Selden Hahn's

This truck was later sold to Linwood Fire company in Delaware County PA
(located a few miles to the north from Brandywine 100)
and was privately owned by George Lamplugh who provided this photo. (standing on the running board)

Interesting that someone felt the need to replace the 'H A H N' lettering on the bumper with 'M A C K', especially in a company with such a long Hahn history.
