The actual rig is stationed near Palm Springs. It has a 1000 gpm-pump and a 500 gallon-tank. Juergen Kiefer photo [/quote] Ford C Series Chassis Fire Apparatus - GA_Dave - 04-05-2007 Ah, the Ford C. One of my favorites! Fondly known as "the belly-button cab" (EVERYBODY has one). I cut my fire service teeth on a pair of them. Over the years I have managed to photograph about 840 of them, built by no less than 82 different builders, as well as those built by FD shops and unnamed sources. Many of these are from the typical big names, like Pierce, E\-One, Grumman, ALF, WLF, Pirsch, etc, but there are also lots of lesser known builders represented. I hope you all enjoy the next several weeks!
