Maryland photo's - GA_Dave - 12-27-2010 Quote:Cottage City, MD operated this Seagrave Anniversary Series midmount ladder. Looks neat with the quad headlight configuration. Additional info- It was a 1961 85' with a 250 GPM pump. The quad headlights were standard on Seagrave rigs from 1961, but they were horizontal on every other one I have seen. This may have been done in-house. Maryland photo's - Pete Muller - 12-28-2010
THAT IS CORRECT. IT IS MORNINGSIDE. I ALSO HAVE LISTED A 1963 GMC/BRUCO
Morningside operated two of the GMC cabover/Bruco's the 1965 seen above and a 1963, Engine 271 and 273 respectively. They also had a 1962 GMC cabover/Bruco Heavy Rescue Squad which has been posted before.
Truck 2 was delivered with the dual headlights side by side. In the posted photo your can see the front bumper is not a standard Seagrave bumper, this was replaced after an accident that included the headlight modifications. This unit had an unfortunate reputation, and late in its career while in the county reserve fleet was nicknamed the "widow maker".
