Last one tonight.

Serv 1. 2002 Ford Explorer. This unit serves as an ALS Chase Unit. This unit was donated by one of our county residents. We have one other ambulance, I do not have any pictures of it, but who cares about scab cabs anyhow? LOL

Some of these might be re-posts Sorry if they are.

Truck 1. 1984 E One. 135' ladder pre-piped to 110'. This rig was bought from Fairfax, no info from Fairfax.

The front of the Truck reads "Longest Stick in the Valley".[/quote]

Could this truck be ex T-410, Bailey's X roads? <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/shrug.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Shrug' />

yes, I believe that is Truck 10 from Baileys Crossroads, Fairfax County.

Virginia apparatus - miscellaneous - Guest - 05-08-2008

It's possible the truck could be from 429 in Tysons Corner.

They had a 135' for some time.

Berryville does run the old Truck 10 from Bailey's Cross Roads in Fairfax County. It is a 1984 E\-One Hurricane 135', with a rehab completed by E\-One in 1997 which included the enclosure of the cab to a four door.

Prior to delivery of the 135', Berryville ran a 1967 Seagrave with a 1969 Seagrave tiller 100' that was also an old Fairfax County ladder truck.

I recently had the opportunity to visit the King George VFD in King George County. King George is not to far from Fredricksburg, Virginia.

The department operates from three stations - the main station is in King George, a sub station in Dahlgren, and a third station in Fairview Beach. I was able to go to the King George and Dahlgren stations.

First up from King George Station 1 is Engine 11, a 1995 Pierce Lance 1250/1000 with job number E8932-02. King George purchased two of these engines.

Truck 1 at King George might look familiar to Maryland folks - it previously ran from Prince Frederick, Maryland.

Truck 1 is a 1993 Pierce Arrow/1980 Maxim 100'. It has Pierce job number F3025.

This truck originally had a Maxim F cab. King George purchased the truck in 2004.

King George operates a variety of Ford F ambulances. Two new Ford F450/Horton's were recently delivered and are being prepared for service. This is Medic 5, 2006 Ford F450/Osage.

The FD and Rescue Squad were at one time seperate organizations.

Water Rescue 1 at King George is this 1996 Freightliner 60/AEV. This Freightliner once ran at another Virginia department, but members at King George could not recall where it came from.

The reserve engine for King George is this 1989 Ford C/FMC 1000/840 with s/n 19083. It previously ran from Station 2 in Dahlgren where it was Engine 22.

Station 2 in King George is located in Dahlgren. There are two buildings - the fire station and the old rescue squad station. Both are located close to each other.

Engine 21 runs an identical engine as Engine 11 at the King George station - a 1995 Pierce Lance 1250/1000 with job number E8932-01.

This is Station 2 in Dahlgren which houses Engine 21, Tanker 2, and an ambulance.

That wraps up King George.
