Empire State Oldies - Guest - 02-08-2009
Next up is this 1924 ALF Engine which served the Fairville,NY FD and is still owned by them and used in parades and musters.
I am not sure where this truck served originally. Fairville only organized their department in the 50's or 60's, so it is not original to them. Empire State Oldies - e290l103 - 02-08-2009 1408-MT7207-L17(5-24-72)-Spare(1974) Sold:Jordan, N.Y. Sold:Copake, NY
This served as TL-17 in FDNY. I don't believe this unit was from Progress.
Empire State Oldies - EJS1810 - 02-08-2009
Next up is this Ford E350/??? Rescue Truck which formerly served the Meridian,NY FD as Rescue 13-2.
Looks like a Braun Slope Side ambulance to me Empire State Oldies - Guest - 02-09-2009 Here are a couple of Oswego County classics. The GMC/E1 is a ex-Pennellville rig The enginge is a Constantia Spartan/E-1 unit 841, Still in service. In the backgrouns is a Ex-Syracuse, Ex Brewerton Ward Lafrannce squirt. Now in service with Cleveland NY. McLaughlin Photo tim/csff25 Empire State Oldies - Guest - 02-09-2009 The working end of some older tankers from Oswego County. In the foreground a ex-West Monroe 3352 and in the background Is a still in service New Haven Tanker. Tim/csff25 McLaughlin photo Empire State Oldies - Guest - 02-09-2009 Last for now is a Ex West Amboys unit 2951. These pictures are about 20 years old. Tim/csff25 McLaughlin photo Empire State Oldies - Guest - 02-09-2009 Next is a Ex-Cleveland, ex-Williamstown tanker and a yet unknown pumper. I can't for the life of me remember whose it was. I e-mailed a picture to a friend of mind that is an instuctor for the county. He may recall who's it belonged to. McLaughlin Photo tim/csff25
. The Seagrave pumper belong to the Parish Fire Dept ( Oswego Co ) they owned only a short time. They bought it from the Howlett hill Fire dept in Onondaga Co. The tanker shown ended being sold to a dept in Tennessee. Empire State Oldies - Guest - 02-09-2009 Next up is a 84 Ford/Sanford that ran with the Altmar Fire Department. I not sure where this ended up next, who ever it was got the cleanest 22 year old Sanford that came from this part of the county. McLaughlin Photo tim/csff25
It kinda looks like it could be either a Scriba FD vehicle, or a City of Oswego FD unit judging by the color of the engine. Empire State Oldies - Guest - 02-09-2009 Nest is a picture from my old disc picture of Cleveland's old 461 IH/?. Behind it was a old Ward Lafrance unit 412. The rescue was sold to two other department and I known John ( cnyfiretrucks) knows who they are. The Ward is a Ex-Bridgeport NY truck that went to West Amboy NY and ended up on firepics a year or so back out on the west coast. McLaughlin Photo tim/csff25 Empire State Oldies - Guest - 02-09-2009 I will stray from a Oswego County for a couple of trucks I shot a couple of summers ago from our nieghbors in Jefferson County. First up a 64 Ford/? rescue that served the Mannsville Manor Fire Dept. McLaughlin Photo tim/csff25 Empire State Oldies - Guest - 02-09-2009 Nest is a series of three pictures of a late 40's early 50's GMC/? tanker from the Henderson Fire Dept. I could not find anything on the body to give the manufacturer away. Anyone have a clue? McLaughlin Photo tim/csff25 Empire State Oldies - Guest - 02-09-2009 Another view of the Henderson GMC. McLaughlin Photo tim/csff25 Empire State Oldies - Guest - 02-09-2009 A rear view of the Henderson GMC. The truck sits on NYS Rt3, just north of Southwicks State Park at a convenience store. The owner of the store has a make shift memorial to our soldiers out back of the store, with a old Military tank and helicopter. McLaughlin photo tim/csff25 Empire State Oldies - Guest - 02-09-2009
It kinda looks like it could be either a Scriba FD vehicle, or a City of Oswego FD unit judging by the color of the engine.
It was a Parish unit that they had for a short time, it came from Howlett Hill. tim/csff25 Empire State Oldies - Guest - 02-09-2009 While still in service, this early 60's Ford/American ( I think) was Hastings first new truck. It survived three paint schemes red to lime yellow back to red. In service as unit 1171, this old girl is a workhorse on brush fires. McLaughlin photo tim/csff25 Empire State Oldies - Guest - 02-09-2009 Next up is the first truck that Hastings had in service, 1927 Brockway. It was bought used, but I not sure where from. It makes its way to a parade or two each yeear and to the Parish VFD car show every year.
