What is this world coming too??? It is about time Rescue 3 gets a New station... They have had to be bounced from the Bronx to Manhattan back to the Bronx in in OLD Stations. Rescue 1 is the NEWEST SOC building (Since their old house burned). But otherwise none of the Brothers in SOC have any new Quarters... This will be nice to see when done! GOOD LUCK BIG BLUE!!! I'm guessing the FDNY style hose bed will not work with that type of tank. The engine in question was in the area where vehicle extrication training is done. Perhaps they were going to use it for practice. The FDNY SOC Rescue School has done extrication on "BIG TRUCKS" before. I think since cab over is a diificult extricaion challenge they use what they can. if you look the rig has had many parts STRIPPED off before the cab was cut so the shops could use what they could before the rig was scrapped. I drove by it yesterday, as this is only 2 blocks from my firehouse. That new EMS Batt. station on Washington and 174 had a huge parking lot. They're building R-3's new house in the majority of that parking lot. Looks like EMS is going to have a 1/4 of their former lot when the new house is built for Rescue. Hopefully they don't tear down R-3's current quarters, which happen to be the former and ORIGINAL quarters of my company Engine 46/Ladder 27. "TO RESCUE TRAPPED FIREMAN". and like the graphic showed I was just stiring the pot... Guess it worked - sorry to rub ya wrong Marc. You must be in the REGULAR Operating Command!
