Here is a picture of Central Square's 62 Chevy/American tanker, off loading water at a fire in Mallory NY. It is from the mid 70's, boy do we do things different now. Notice they are using a duece and a half hard suction for water suppy of our 72 Chevy Sanford and running 2-inch and a half lines.

My notes have this rig as a 1966 ALF Pioneer I. This unit is now privately owned and is seen at many of the summertime musters and parades.

I'll look around and see if any of the old Wayne county inventories still exist at the firehouse. I know I ran across the original county inventory from the 1950's once. I have the next couple days off and I'll have some time to nose around.

Jeff,

I'll post what I have in this thread when I get home. I've posted them under the Bean, Sanford and Young threads.

Here is a 20's Ford/Howe pumper with a somewhat cloudy past. Not sure if it served in New York before its trip to a department in Florida, Anyways, it was brought to NY in the 60's and as markings on equipment from departments in the Finger Lakes area of NY. Shot at the Wampsville Car show in 08.
