They appear to be stripping it slowlyGuy who organizes the event told us it was a Sandy victim NYPD - jlg1875 - 05-03-2014 Thanks for posting gentlemen, GREATLY appreciated! I have a contact on Truck 6, you're correct it was flooded during Hurricane Sandy, he said they only had it in service for a few months. When I talked to him last November, he said they were supposed to get another new one, but had no idea when, guess that still hasn't happened, 1.5 years after the storm. He had heard through the grapevine that it was supposed to be another E\-One, but possibly with a four door cab. Not sure why they would go to a longer truck, especially when they only run with two guys on the large trucks, and the shorter the better when dealing with NYC traffic and streets. Speaking of E\-One, interesting to see that they never had the E\-One nameplate on the trucks, even on the grill it's obvious it's missing! NYPD - Image7801 - 05-05-2014 Quote: Great shots! I love that sort of behind the fence, put out to pasture kind of stuff. This truck appears to be some sort of mobile bridge, but a bridge to what? NYPD - Juice - 05-06-2014 I thought it was for entry through a upper window, but perhaps you're right. Trav!
