Pawtucket used to have that font on their cruisers.....changed to a black and white scheme when Boston changed....the cars were identical except for the city name.
IIRC BPD dropped the font when the new commissioner, Ed Davis, formerly of Lowell PD took over and a "new look" was ushered in. Wish they'd go back. Like mentioned before, that "EuroTrash" font looks like crap. The previous lettering complimented the graphics scheme. Oh well, at least it's alive in a dozen or so towns around the state that decided to copy BPD's look to a "T". Boston Fire Department - FIREBOX73 - 06-15-2010 That is 1 sweet looking engine. I didnot like KME as much before but since they brought in the newer styled 1`s the predator ,etc i like them even more. I thinking these days E 18-52 and Ladders 6 and 29. But Boston just does not burn like it used to. My folks up there say there just are not any ghettos anymore in Beantwon Boston Fire Department - mussels - 06-20-2010 Passed 33's new KME today on the Mass Turnpike. They are all located in and around Dorchester. Districts 7 & 8 are where the most work is.
