The driver at Eastside said they only paid $60,000 and did most if not all of the refurb work in-house. Not a bad deal for a 600 call a year dept, a $800,000+ new rig for $60,000! Not sure they really need something that big, but they sure were proud of all of the blood, sweat & tears put into it.

I believe the other one they had (CFR 501) which was sold in 02 or 03 was near identical to it. I know 504 had the same strobes below the windshield and roof turret like the photo above. Ulah FD has the largest district in Randolph County, protecting approximately 65 square miles from 3 stations. Station 11 was the only one staffed with paid personnel but we were invited to come back anytime after they hire one more person thanks to a recent SAFER grant.
