He's gonna dig out his old picture of it sometime today and I'll hopefully be able to scan it. <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cool.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='B)' /> Garden State Oldies - Guest - 08-10-2008 Garden State Oldies - Guest - 08-10-2008
An old ALF aerial perhaps? Diamond T used the cab into the 60's, while IH used it until 1972. Info from American Truck-Spotters Guide and Encyclopedia of American Trucks & Comm. Vehicles. I think the aerial looks like a Seagrave, however. Also, The "Ford C Cab" was designed and manufactured by the Budd Company, and was used by several truck makers, including Mack, which termed it the N model, which was produced from the late 1950's into the early 1960's. I went to my first fire as a Junior fireman on a 1959 Mack N Harwick pumper-tanker back when dinosaurs roamed the earth. <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cool.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='B)' /> Garden State Oldies - e290l103 - 08-10-2008 its a 1958 Diamond T tractor pulling a 1927 Seagrave 75' aerial. the entire rig is ex-Elizabeth NJ, they retractored it in 1958. photo by Al Trojanowicz from my collection Garden State Oldies - gjh119 - 08-10-2008 Seagrave 75' TDA delivered to the City of Elizabeth Nov 10, 1927 Garden State Oldies - Guest - 08-11-2008
its a 1958 Diamond T tractor pulling a 1927 Seagrave 75' aerial. the entire rig is ex-Elizabeth NJ, they retractored it in 1958. photo by Al Trojanowicz from my collection
Leave it to Mike to pull on through for us! My Dad said they bought one. It did not fit the station and was eventually sold off. I thought it was Brenton Woods - it was a shade of green he thought. I believe we bought it but 1)It wouldn't fit and 2)Twp wouldn't insure it. Long ago..
