That's their space-saving "Eliminator" tanker design: http://fire.kovatch.com/ProductDivisions/FireDivision/Products/Tankers/TankersEliminator.aspx Quote:Eden FD This is perhaps the first rehabbed truck company I've seen that came back with a black aerial. Nice touch on an older model rig. More NC Rigs - BFD1151 - 06-07-2013 The City of Eden and Leaksville have a unique history from what I gather. Before there was a "City" of Eden, there were 3 small communities named Spray, Draper, and Leaksville and each had their own VFD. In 1967 the communities merged to form Eden but the VFD's remained separate entities from Eden FD. With most of Spray VFD's district gone, they dissolved shortly after Eden formed into a city. Draper and Leaksville remained and reorganized as "rural" districts, protecting the unincroporated areas around the City Limits of Eden. Corrections welcome if you know more, that's how it was explained to me.
