Sorry, I was having problems with the uploading. Let's try again. Station 1 received this 1998 Pierce Arrow, 65 ft/1500/500 for Engine 131. It is now in reserve status.

TEXAS RIGS - Guest - 10-30-2007

Station 2 presently houses Batt. 131, Engine 132, Medic 132. The Batt. Chief has this 2005 Ford Excursion.

TEXAS RIGS - Guest - 10-30-2007

Engine 132 has this 2005 Pierce Quantum, 75 ft/1500/500.

TEXAS RIGS - Guest - 10-30-2007

Station 1 houses Eng. 131, Truck 131, Medic 131 and Utility 131. Engine 131 is a 2004 Pierce Quantum, 1500/500.

TEXAS RIGS - Guest - 10-30-2007

Truck 131 is the 1993 E\-One Cyclone pictured in the other posting. Medic 131 is this 2006 Ford F450/Frazier.

Bob:

This sure looks like the 1959 Pirsch that Farmers Branch bought brand new. I was unaware that they had any from the 1960s in this model and full, open cab style. I might be wrong, though.

Nice Pics! But please tell me the Crown Vic hubcaps on the Excursion are a joke... <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_crazy.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Icon_crazy' />

The '79 ALF Century 50' Tele-Squrt pumpers were all the same spec with 500 gallon tanks and 50' Tele-Squrt booms.

The Rescue Co.'s, back in the day, all used this identical type rig. There were 6 of these type I believe with GASOLINE engines. 1's, 21's (Went to 10's), 38's, etc. had them. How they originally ran I forget, but they were dispatched on all Heavy Boxes (4E, 2T, 2DC) for apartment and commercial fires.

Love the photos and thanks for sharing them.

Larry, Kip says get back to work.

Also, The Garland Truck 1 to me looks like a Pierce Arrow and not a Lance. I don't see the cab seal where the Lance Cab will split.

Thanks for that correction. I'm gonna change my stats to reflect it as a '59. Not sure how I got the year 1964 though. Bob.

OMG, I was thinking the same thing...

Thanks for the heads up on that. I had it listed in my stats as an Arrow, so I looked at another photo of it with a magnifying glass I had and it is definitely a Pierce Arrow. Thanks, Robert.

Great photos Bob. Thank you very much for posting them.

TEXAS RIGS - Ladder 68 - 10-30-2007

Jeremy, tell Kip to roll over or he'll get bed sores from HM-5 doing nothing. Ha ha.

I am working. Working quite hard actually. Riding Captain on Engine 68 is very difficult today. Ha ha.

TEXAS RIGS - jbrown9079 - 10-30-2007

HAHA. He is actually working on a-shift today here on E1. Working on a shift trade. Difficult, how many medicals?

TEXAS RIGS - Ladder 68 - 10-30-2007

Quiet. Only regular officer in the whole district riding his tested and regular spot is our DC. 2 Captains riding Sr. Captain and all 4 Engine Co.'s in the district has an E/O riding Captain (All companies in the top 10 for runs and fires). SLFD may be coming to SW Houston tonight with our line-up. Ha ha.

2 EMS runs is all.

Be safe on the Pierce wonder toy. Sorry, that's Ladder 2. I mean the former Pierce wonder toy. Ha ha.

TEXAS RIGS - jbrown9079 - 10-30-2007

Yep, good ol E1. Apparatus committee meeting is next Tuesday to set a time line for new E1. Cheif Fenwick sent out a survey of options and featuref of what the FF's would like to see and would change.
