TEXAS RIGS - Guest - 10-30-2007 Sorry, I was having problems with the uploading. Let's try again. Station 1 received this 1998 Pierce Arrow, 65 ft/1500/500 for Engine 131. It is now in reserve status. TEXAS RIGS - Guest - 10-30-2007 Station 2 presently houses Batt. 131, Engine 132, Medic 132. The Batt. Chief has this 2005 Ford Excursion. TEXAS RIGS - Guest - 10-30-2007 Engine 132 has this 2005 Pierce Quantum, 75 ft/1500/500. TEXAS RIGS - Guest - 10-30-2007 Station 1 houses Eng. 131, Truck 131, Medic 131 and Utility 131. Engine 131 is a 2004 Pierce Quantum, 1500/500. TEXAS RIGS - Guest - 10-30-2007 Truck 131 is the 1993 E\-One Cyclone pictured in the other posting. Medic 131 is this 2006 Ford F450/Frazier. TEXAS RIGS - Guest - 10-30-2007 Last is this 2005 Pierce Quantum, Rescue/Air/Rehab/WMD-MCI vehicle. TEXAS RIGS - Guest - 10-30-2007 That'll do it for tonight, Hope everyone enjoys these. Have a Good Night. TEXAS RIGS - 1961MackC95 - 10-30-2007
Here is one of two 1964 Pirsch, 750/300 engines they had. This one was in reserve. I never was able to photograph the other one.
Bob: This sure looks like the 1959 Pirsch that Farmers Branch bought brand new. I was unaware that they had any from the 1960s in this model and full, open cab style. I might be wrong, though. Lindsay D Richardson, TX TEXAS RIGS - Guest - 10-30-2007 Nice Pics! But please tell me the Crown Vic hubcaps on the Excursion are a joke... <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_crazy.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> TEXAS RIGS - Ladder 68 - 10-30-2007 The '79 ALF Century 50' Tele-Squrt pumpers were all the same spec with 500 gallon tanks and 50' Tele-Squrt booms. The Rescue Co.'s, back in the day, all used this identical type rig. There were 6 of these type I believe with GASOLINE engines. 1's, 21's (Went to 10's), 38's, etc. had them. How they originally ran I forget, but they were dispatched on all Heavy Boxes (4E, 2T, 2DC) for apartment and commercial fires. Love the photos and thanks for sharing them. TEXAS RIGS - jbrown9079 - 10-30-2007 Larry, Kip says get back to work. Also, The Garland Truck 1 to me looks like a Pierce Arrow and not a Lance. I don't see the cab seal where the Lance Cab will split. TEXAS RIGS - Guest - 10-30-2007
Bob: This sure looks like the 1959 Pirsch that Farmers Branch bought brand new. I'm gonna change my stats to reflect it as a '59. Not sure how I got the year 1964 though. Bob. TEXAS RIGS - Roto-Ray - 10-30-2007 OMG, I was thinking the same thing... TEXAS RIGS - Guest - 10-30-2007
Larry, Kip says get back to work. I had it listed in my stats as an Arrow, so I looked at another photo of it with a magnifying glass I had and it is definitely a Pierce Arrow. Thanks, Robert. TEXAS RIGS - Guest - 10-30-2007 Great photos Bob. Thank you very much for posting them. TEXAS RIGS - Ladder 68 - 10-30-2007 Jeremy, tell Kip to roll over or he'll get bed sores from HM-5 doing nothing. Ha ha. I am working. Working quite hard actually. Riding Captain on Engine 68 is very difficult today. Ha ha. TEXAS RIGS - jbrown9079 - 10-30-2007 HAHA. He is actually working on a-shift today here on E1. Working on a shift trade. Difficult, how many medicals? TEXAS RIGS - Ladder 68 - 10-30-2007 Quiet. Only regular officer in the whole district riding his tested and regular spot is our DC. 2 Captains riding Sr. Captain and all 4 Engine Co.'s in the district has an E/O riding Captain (All companies in the top 10 for runs and fires). SLFD may be coming to SW Houston tonight with our line-up. Ha ha. 2 EMS runs is all. Be safe on the Pierce wonder toy. Sorry, that's Ladder 2. I mean the former Pierce wonder toy. Ha ha. TEXAS RIGS - jbrown9079 - 10-30-2007 Yep, good ol E1. Apparatus committee meeting is next Tuesday to set a time line for new E1. Cheif Fenwick sent out a survey of options and featuref of what the FF's would like to see and would change.
