Single wheels, flat roof, non-KKK lighting package. I'd wager it's some type of support unit: supervisor/logistics/mechanic, that sort of thing. It doesn't look like a patient transport rig. (Guess that's why you called it 'Unit' 145, right?)

No its a regular ambulance. Ive seen it at the hospital.. It must have passed state inspection.

I'd bet the bank that it's a regular transport unit for Superior. Thier moto should be "Whatever is cheapest works!". Seriously they spend the least amount of cash possible on a unit. I was told that they had negotiated the price of thier last type II's down to just $500.00 above manufacturer cost!

Keep in mind also that ambulances do not have to meet KKK in a greater majority of states. KKK is just a sugestion, for instance this rig does not meet KKK becuse it does not have the 8" Omaha Orange stripe around the unit. Also keep in mind that KKK ie: GSA does not maintain a standard for Type II units like this.

I hate to say it, but the rig had a stretcher and 2 EMT's with it. Very odd.
