The aerial apparatus in numerical sequence. Some of the older rigs were reassigned 4 digit shop numbers in the '80s. Previously they had a 3 digit numbering system.

Probably ordered before bronto swicthing. City of québec have a 134 bronto on order from E\-One. Is due for the end of 2011.
Now E\-One have remove bronto from is website, but industrial bronto are in the line-up again.
On google map, the satellite view was recently updated on the aiport plant and its posible to see 5 bronto kit on the back yard juste beside 3 titan

I asked my HC contact - he said he would check. I bet David is right though, since HCFR has had a contract with E\-One for years, they probably ordered their Brontos before the switch. Would be very surprised to see them switch to Pierce.
Still not sure about another Ladder company coming on board...when I know I'll pass along. Looks like the HIT truck finally sold on Brindlee Mountain, so expecting to see a new one shortly.

Thanks for all the info! Very interesting! I was a wee kid when Station 14 had the '88 Seagrave, '88 Pemfab/LTI, and old Ford ALS rescue car. Those were the days! No Federal Qs in those years...only came with the E\-One tower and Quantums.

Yep...until recently only had 4. Hillsborough County has 4, Temple Terrace has 1, and Plant City has 1. For a total of 11 in a county with a population of 1.3 million!

No, they do not. If an incident happens along a border or the location is unclear, then more than one department will respond - some areas of the county have convergence of multiple departments - the University of South Florida area being one. Tampa covers the USF campus proper, but along each side of its rectangular campus are different jurisdictions (Hillsborough County and Temple Terrace). They are constantly criss-crossing each other.
In most cases, the departments work together and try to respond with closer resources if they have them available. From what I've learned, Hillsborough County Fire is the 'ultimate fire protection' for the county, so if one of the cities requests their help, they cannot say no. Accordingly, the county runs specialized calls for Temple Terrace and Plant City, and occasionally runs in the city on highly hazardous situations or technical rescues. I've heard of two instances of that happening, one of each type. Temple Terrace often calls the City of Tampa before calling the County, from what I know...especially for fire incidents along 56th Street and Bullard Pkwy, because Tampa Station 13 is just across the municipal boundary and runs an engine, rescue, truck, and chief.

thanks joe....i have been somewhat following that since i left florida in 2005....and did hear something about PP going to KC....so lealman still has 18/19....is the quint @ 19? I love the pinellas county system...i think it works pretty good....where is the closest engine now to 33...cuz as i remember 33 had the engine and the truck right? and that was the downtown pp station right?....
