American LaFrance Apparatus - Guest - 10-01-2006 My company's past generation tractor-drawn aerial. 1954 American LaFrance 85ft tractor-drawn aerial. This rig was bought by Ridgefield Park when my company's 1930's Brockway/LaFrance tiller with a wooden ladder was burned severly in a lumber yard fire. The order for this truck was placed along with an FDNY order for similar rigs. Does anyone happen to have a factory picture of this truck or any other information? I am desperate to find information on this beautiful truck that was very well-liked by the members. American LaFrance Apparatus - Guest - 10-01-2006 Where on one of these rigs would I find the reg #? I've located a couple of unmarked relics in my area and figured I'd know what I'm looking for before I go snooping around... There's usually a series of data plates, and the top one will have the Reg. No. stamped on it (see picture). For the 700 and 800 Series ALFs, the Reg. No. will appear as either L-xxxx, 9xxx, or N-xxx. The one that I attached a picture of happens to be N-154. Hope this helps!
