Pine Beach, NJ purchased another TASC pumper in 1964. Serial # 212 was equipped with a Hale QLD-75 750 gpm pump and a 500 gallon water tank. Contract price was $20,650. Just to the east of Pine Beach is the town of Ocean Gate, NJ. Ocean Gate purchased 3 TASC pumpers over the years. Two of them still exist. The final TASC bought by Ocean Gate was this 1975 Ford L 9000 pumper. Serial # 258 has a Hale QLF-75 750 gpm pump and a 750 gallon water tank. This rig cost $50,000. Holmdel, NJ operated this 1971 Ford CT900/TASC 1000/2000 tanker. Serial # 244 contract price was $36,656. Lower Alloways Creek, NJ had purchased a very similar piece in 1968. Sharp little rig, any idea what that is on the front bumper?

Its an Elkhart hose control appliance (for unmanned use - the top swivels perpendicular to the base - the hose threads thru the loops with the nozzle protruding from the front - it sits on the ground like a tripod). We also mounted one on the bumper of our cab-fwd Maxim for decoration...

Cheesequake, NJ had one of three quints built by TASC. Serial # 222 was built on a 1965 GMC L7000X chassis. This beast had Hale QLD-75 750 gpm pump and an 85' Grove ladder. Cranbury, NJ had the first of several "custom" TASC pumpers. Serial # 255 was a 1974 Duplex R-300 chassis employing a Hale Q-150 1500 gpm pump and a 600 gallon water tank.
