More NC Rigs - BFD1151 - 04-16-2014 Andrew and I searched all over for a serial number to no avail. Does anyone have it? Hamlet FD Former Engine 4 1940s Mack 500/500 More NC Rigs - BFD1151 - 04-16-2014 Hamlet FD Antique 1921 ALF 75 Triple 750/50 Reg #3623 More NC Rigs - BFD1151 - 04-16-2014 Hamlet FD also runs several ALS ambulances (another rarity in NC due to the way the statute reads making it the responsibility of the county) that I did not shoot. Here is the final truck that is not in-service yet but will be soon. Hamlet FD New Tanker 1990s AM General/Local 0/1500 X: U.S. Army (possibly came from Fort Bragg) More NC Rigs - Frank B - 04-17-2014 Yes in the cab, and under the suction for the mack E. If you find it I may have a delivery photo of it to post! More NC Rigs - Guest - 05-03-2014 Lewisville FD Brush 311. Was out and about in the nice weather today and found Lewisville performing some driving drills next to their station. More NC Rigs - Guest - 05-04-2014 Lewisville FD Engine 113 Forsyth County More NC Rigs - Guest - 05-04-2014 Lewisville FD Engine 111 Forsyth County Was unable to get any info on these rigs as they were really busy and I did not want to interrupt them. Took a peek in the station and looks like they have a nice Pierce RM Ladder. Definitely will go back when they are not so busy. More NC Rigs - BFD1151 - 05-04-2014 Casey, Here's the specs on the Lewisville trucks: Engine 111-2008 Spartan/Rosenbauer 1500/1000 Engine 113-2002 Spartan/Luverne 1250/1000 Brush 311-2003 Ford F550/Anchor Richey 250/300/15F I'm also a volunteer at Lewisville and you're welcome to come by anytime either station 11 or 13. All 3 shifts wouldn't mind pulling the trucks out for you. Just FYI, E113 is due to be replaced next year with a 3,000 gallon elliptical tanker so it's good you shot it before it is sold. More NC Rigs - Fire28 - 05-04-2014 Quote:At first glance, this looks like a complete Mack tanker but the guys at the station told us the body was fabricated by a local company.Thats AWESOME More NC Rigs - Guest - 05-04-2014 Quote:Casey,Micah, Thanks for the info. 113s replacement going to be another Spartan, or should I say an ERV product? It was the first time going by the station, and surprised to see everyone out drilling. Per chance, were you there around 2:45pm? More NC Rigs - BFD1151 - 05-05-2014 Quote:Micah, They are looking at a Kenworth chassis with an elliptical tanker body, unsure who will built it cause the bid hasn't went out yet. No, I was in Rowan County all day Saturday getting pictures down there. Unlike Wilkesboro, their ramp is pretty short and the station sits on top of a hill. The only halfway decent place to shoot the trucks was to shut down the main street in front of the station for each truck. Our driver told us the bay floor had to be dug up twice and the front pad had to be lowered about 8" so the bucket wouldn't clip the bay door when leaving because of the slope. Here was the snorkel trying to back in. |
