That truck has one of my favorite apparatus quotes above the windshield, first saw it back in the early 90s.... <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Sad' /> Looks like they were well on the way to fixing it?

Relics - LCFR1620 - 07-06-2008

I had seen a post in the section regarding wanting to know the where abouts of a Pumper from Landover Hills Md. (Prince Georges County). I saw this CF Mack years ago in Ocean City Md. when it was rehabbed by the "Beaverbuilt" Apparatus Company. It was an nice looking piece.

Does anyone know where it got too, or have any recent pics of it. Heck, maybe even before the rehab. Just wondering if it might be available. It was known recently as Water Supply 30.

Thanks

I have a shot of Water Supply 30's Mack CF/Beaverbilt. It was taken several years ago, not long after it was refurbed. I'll post it tomorrow when I get home.

GA Dave,

Do you or anyone else know where it is now?

Relics - GA_Dave - 07-07-2008

Not a clue. Sorry.

This relic is in somewhat better shape than some posted here. It's a 1961 Pirsch currently being restored by Palm Beach County Fire-Rescue Driver Buddy Yarbrough. It's just been repainted by E\-One and will soon be lettered for the FOOLS. It's got an 85' ladder, a small pump and tank of unknown size and carries Pirsch #2499. Buddy wasn't sure but thought it came from Houston, TX originally and then Nashville, TN. Can anyone confirm?

Another relic found in West Palm Beach is this 1971 American LaFrance ladder. It has a 1250 gpm pump and was refurbished by Gator somewhere along the way and carries ALF#7-16-71. The rig was last used by EK's Neon Signs in South Florida but sits wasting away in a truck parkinglot now. It appears to have come from Melbourne, FL. Can anyone give me the ladder or tank size?

Landover Hill's Mack/Beaverbuilt is now in service at Tower Hill FD #2 in Fayette County, PA., and it looks just about the same. Hope this helps.

Well, close.....

#2499 is a 1961 Pirsch 41D 85' that was originally delivered to Fort Worth, TX. It was later sold to Bellevue, TN, a Nashville suburb. Here's a poor shot of it in service as Bellevue Ladder 40.

DCFD470,

Thanks for the picture. I had been looking all over for a update on this one, but came up empty. It appears that they won't be getting rid of it in the near future. Looks like they put a few dollars in the old MACK. The new Roto-ray was a nice addition.

[quote name='Bklyn Phil' post='221207' date='Jun 12 2008, 18:55 ']It may be small comfort now but rest assured it's in a good home! We might even see it next year at Apple Blossom. Here's a shot of one of his transporters.

I sent him an e-mail asking him to let me know if he ever wanted to sell it. He sent me a reply with pictures and a note saying he would consider selling it for $3500. Here are some of the pics he sent me <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Sad' />
