Keystone State Relics - wardengine - 04-06-2007
Question: Do you know if the 150GPM/100GWT was the standard booster pump size for the 700 Series? Thanks.
im not sure but saw alot with this size Keystone State Relics - wardengine - 04-07-2007 kingston pa luzerne county ran this 1974 hahn 1000gpm 500gwt 1974-2005. it was a real workhorse & would still be in service if the body hadn't been so deteroirated.over the years the members did sever al modifications to it including removal of the 2 booster reels & replacing with crosslays, prepiping a wagon pipe, addig air horns, later on light bar, generator & lighting. this engine did suffer major damage after the operator had fatal heart attack while enroute to a chimney fire & striking a tree, but was repaired at hahn in hamburg and remained faithful to the dept.there was never any doubts when the yearly pump testing came about ,this always passed with flying colors. it was sold to a contractor in the area who planned on using it for wetting down debris when he was demolishing them.(hugh mcgeehan photo) Keystone State Relics - Guest - 04-07-2007 |
