I saw the South King FD Assistant Chief at Rich Schneider's funeral this morning. I'll contact him, maybe it was something symbolic connected with Captain McCoy. What year did the merger take place?
For everyone else, Rich Schneider was a firefighter with the San Jose FD and the Seattle FD and became the Seattle FD historical record and photo keeper. He wrote the portion of the Arcadia Publishing Company's Images of America series, covering the history of the Seattle Fire Department.
