We need our new rig NOW, as our current '03 Seagrave has sprung a MAJOR leak in the booster tank. Gotta keep filling the thing all day! F.D.N.Y. - Guest - 07-10-2008 Rear of engine 3. Take a look at the rear lights. I don't think they site as high as the first rig that came in. Are they the same. If not what are they? F.D.N.Y. - Guest - 07-11-2008 Was talking with the shop guys there today and these trucks are big but they have better pick up then the old 1000 gpm rigs. I think there is a total of 8 out this way. There was only three there today. I don't think they are staying at the shop. I do be leave they went back to Seagrave. For what not sure. F.D.N.Y. - Guest - 07-11-2008 Lets see if this works. I took a look at the Elgin photo page that had 317 in on a visit and the lights weren't mounted. Are the FDNY shops mounting the rear stanchion lights as the pumpers arrive? See DIE HARD #3 for a look inside! F.D.N.Y. - Guest - 07-11-2008 I've got a couple of quick questions on the new rigs? Why 4 sections of hard suction, did I see correctly they can draft into 2 intakes? Are the warning lights combo LED/rotating? Is that a pull out cross-lay to the top left corner of the pump panel? Thanks in advance guys..... Stay safe....... F.D.N.Y. - Guest - 07-11-2008 [quote name='hogie1' date='Jul 11 2008, 21:37 ' post='228650'] I've got a couple of quick questions on the new rigs? Why 4 sections of hard suction, did I see correctly they can draft into 2 intakes? Are the warning lights combo LED/rotating? Is that a pull out cross-lay to the top left corner of the pump panel? Thanks in advance guys..... Stay safe....... There was 4 hard suctions hose Two for each intake. I think they had that for the test. Not sure if they are all going to care that much. There was no equipment on the trucks. I did not see any cross-lays. That door was open to get the back of the pump boss they have on the trucks As for the lights I can’t help you on that. I have no idea what they are. All I know is you turn the switch on and they come on. If it does not she’s a broken. Sorry F.D.N.Y. - Guest - 07-12-2008 You need to have 2 intakes in use to supply enough water to get the rated 2000 GPM. What 2 you use is up to the ECC. The way they are set up on the pier is the eaiest way. So that is 2 of the four suction lenghts. The other 2 will give you the reach to the water level at most locations in the city. So that would cover the 4 lenghts. F.D.N.Y. - Guest - 07-12-2008 What's CTS stand for? I can see they are part of the BOT... |
