Any idea where L81s 87 Ford/Superior ladder ended up?

Also what year is the "new" L81?

Its a Pierce chasis with nova quintech sky-arm and Carl Thibault body

This truck was built before Pierce purchased the assets of nova quintech ladder.

Thanks gentlemen, I forgot about Gloucester's, I only knew of one Pierce aerial with Carl Thibault bodywork, in Quebec City.

I think the Québec Pierce was built by Pierce with a stock sky five ladder from the nova purchase but Carl Thibault make modification to the body to change the roll-up door to standard door over the dual axle each side.

This 1963 Mack C85F engine bears chassis # 12810, is dated 05/08/63 and was an ex Town of Menasha, Wisconsin engine. It has a 750 GPM pump and 800 gallon booster tank. This engine is fully operational, and the owner keeps the booster tank filled in case of a fire. ( He lives in a semi rural area with the closest fire station about 10 minutes away. )

Took a ride through the town of Lynden, WA on our wedding night on this engine. Had the wedding party riding on the tailboard and up in the hose bed. Owner was a great guy and gave a fun code run through town.

Stopped off at Hub Fire Engines recently, a local western Canadian builder to say hi to the folks there and managed to shoot a couple of trucks while visiting. North Fraser B.C. recently purchased this 2007 Chevrolet C4500 4x4 chassis and had Hub build them this rescue, which was delivered in 2012.

Hub delivered this engine in late 2012 to Salmo, B.C. This engine, built on an International 4400 DuraStar has a 1050 GPM pump, 1000 gallon water, 25 gallons of foam, and has a CAFS aboard.

I have also included a photo of anengine that is in the construction stage which I found of interest. This engine is being constructed for Colwood, B.C. on Vancouver Island using a MetroStar chassis. It shows the poly water tank, twin poly foam tanks mounted above the booster tank and the rear mounted pump.

Terry does Colwood still have the Simon Snorkel?

Hi Joel, When I was by there late last summer, it was still in service, but being a 1985 truck, I am sure there will be thoughts of replacing it. As always, money will be a problem and as long as the truck passes it's annual test it will be in service. I don't think it gets a lot of use, and is there because Colwood fire station is tucked up tight against Royal Roads University and would be needed if things get going on campus, but surrounding communities have much newer aerial trucks to call on if the snorkel ends up OOS for any length of time.

Hi Terry, hope all is well with you and yours! I always wanted to photograph that Snorkel, never had the time to get out to the island when I was in Vancouver in '06, and stopped at the island while on an Alaskan cruise in '07 but it arrived at 6 pm and left 4 hours later <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Sad' />

Redwood Meadows, Alberta - 2009 Kenworth/Pierce Contender Multi-cab and 2012 Peterbilt/Pierce Encore rescue at a CO complaint on Thurday, January 31, 2012. The Kenworth was the last of its kind built due to problems with a third party supplier to Pierce.

The city of Burnaby B.C. located directly east of Vancouver and runs out of seven stations. I have resized a few photos of some of their apparatus, and will start with their latest engines. Engine 5 in Burnaby is one of several 2010 Smeal Spartan Gladiator pumpers that have 1750 GPM pumps, 500 gallon water tanks and 40 gallon foam tanks.

Burnaby had a new fire station constructed sometime in 2008/9 and staffed it with this 2009 Smeal Spartan Gladiator with 1750 GPM pump, 500 gallon water tank and 40 gallon foam tank.
