-Chauffeur Training School.

The first rig is assigned to the Chauffeur School so that all companies receiving one can come out and get familiarized on the new apparatus. Also members in Chauffeur school can see new rig and pump differences so that if they are detailed to drive this rig they can operate it. This particular rig will probably never see any actual fire duty, it will remain at CTS. CTS has various Seagrave pumpers of different years for members to train on. Some older models are manual throttle and new rigs have pro pressure governor, hence the need to train on different rigs.

The lower right pedal is eq2b siren, lower left pedal is air horn and upper middle is to stop eq2b on arrival in lieu of it winding down.

Before 9-11 the FDNY kept the FEMA USAR Cashe at the Rock on a Trailer. It could be pulled by ANY Tractor the FDNY had. I saw it hooked up to the Ford L model cab and the x-US Army Kisser Tractor. At this time I would beleive the same would apply - just not sure where its kept of the primary tractor.
