I have a question, is the KME Renigade a Hendrickson cab?

What model Hendrickson is it?

KME purchased the old Hendrickson line in 1985. For a short while, they used the same cab designs and still offered the KME custom chassis to other builders. The old 1871C became the KME FireFox and the old 1871W became the KME Firehawk. The Renegade was their first KME-designed custom chassis and has always been a tilt-cab. KME also built the fixed cab-forward Falcon.

See the "KME Spotters Guide" for more info...... Oh, wait, I haven't finished writing it yet! D'oh!

GREAT stuff Juergen (and Mark)!!! Love the older Ranger built rigs, some really interesting combos. I think the most unusual one they built also served in CT, the early 80s Mack MC rescue for Wilson in Windsor with a pump panel and also a foam turret on the roof.
