Yukon, PA (where is this town?) ran this Ford C squad truck. Possibly a Bruco? Mattson Collection

Scott, Yukon is in Westmoreland County and IMO, that's a Gerstenslager.

Look at the logo in the corner of the front compartment door, that's a Young.

OK, it's a Young, all I see on my 2nd hand 7 year-old screen is a blurry, silver blob, so kudos on your better equipment... <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/shrug.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Shrug' />

This is a 1975 Ford/Pierce 1000 gmp 2 stage pump, 500 gallon tank. The truck was ahead of its time in Mississippi. This is the 1st top mounted control to be delivered in the state and I have been told that this was the first top mount control built by Pierce, but I can not confirm that. The only flaw with this piece of equipment is that it was a gas burner. The dept. tried to convert to diesel in the late 1980's but that didn't work out. It is no longer in service with our dept., but is being used by a dept. in south Mississippi. Sorry for the bad pic, but its one of the few that's still around.

I'm not sure what happened to that pic in the last post? <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/oops.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Oops' /> You can go to www.senatobiafire.net to see some better shots.
