PA Fire stations - Guest - 09-16-2009 Fayette City VFD, Fayette County,PA. WW Jenkins image PA Fire stations - Guest - 09-16-2009 A rather ramshackle setup at the Newell VFD in Fayette Co., the right part of the station is from the 1950's, the left part dates from the 30's. The 2 engines barely fit. WW Jenkins image PA Fire stations - Guest - 09-16-2009 The older part houses a derelict 60'sFord C/Howe rescue, forcing the Dodge mini and the trailer to remain outside. WW Jenkins image PA Fire stations - Guest - 09-17-2009 Luzerne Twp. VFC is located in the village of LaBelle, the 2-story part was built in 1939, the bay on the left was built in 1954. Note the bay door heights and how the newer one has been enlarged. 2 of their rigs must sit outside, but a surplus metal building will hopefully be erected before winter. The monster siren seems to dwarf the building... WW Jenkins image PA Fire stations - Guest - 09-17-2009 This is the "famous" Tower Hill #2 VFC in Merrittstown, Fayette Co. The 2 locals are probably discussing the bizarre bunch of photographers that interrupted their grass mowing <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hysterical.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> WWJ image PA Fire stations - Rheems1 - 09-17-2009 [quote name='Dr. Stinebaugh' post='337347' date='Sep 17 2009, 18:00 ']Luzerne Twp. Door height was 10'. 2008/2009- 3 bay 70x60 addition was added 2-45' apparatus bays, and 1 60' bay. 17' ceiling, glass doors, scba room, new office, rec room, enginners room, 2nd floor ( that is why the 2 bays are 45' deep). 1 unisex bathroom, 1 male and femaile bathroom, mulitpurpose room. PA Fire stations - taurudak - 10-09-2009 Steelton's Baldwin Hose Co #4 from back in the days when Steelton had six fire companies. This has been empty since the early 1980's. PA Fire stations - truck1882 - 10-10-2009 Wow, I didn't think any of the old Steelton Stations where still standing. I knew that some closed in 1972 with Agnes flooding. Cool, glad to see that one.
