Two additional identical engines and two 100' RM Quints- 1 on a Velocity chasis as a trial, and the other on a Quantum, are expected in the next couple of weeks. Some noteable features: -Diamond Plate Compartment mounted on the rear of the cab, transverse right above the walkway for backboards -Diamond Plate Compartment on roof accesible from pump panel walkway for cribbing -High visibilty front bumper -Federal Signal Q Siren and Federal Signal Electronic Siren -Front "Brow Light" -Rear Chevrons -Tomar lighting packages. They really like the top-mount pumps, apparently, but I'm suprised an urban department would want the wheelbase that came along with it. Also I was told that Quint 27 will be the Pierce Velocity 105' quint, and there 2003 Pierce Quantum 105' qunt will become a reserve. |
