Terry
Terry, do you know if they've always had this rig? it looks an awful lot like the rig Speedway Indiana used to have. Terry's Tid Bits II - dawson_fire - 01-04-2007 To the best of my knowledge they bought it new. Airville,Pa. runs this 1984 GMC/Conestoga Custom Products 500gpm 1500-1800gal(?) tanker.By the address and the second builders plate they must have been a division of LTI as it said the body was built by LTI,job# 17841. Terry
Great shots Terry The Airville tanker was originally from White Horse Fire Co in Lancaster Co Pa. I was a junior when this piece was there and worked mutual aid with them many times. Im pretty sure this was a 2000 gal unit. Was this pic taken at Glicks by chance? Lots of variety and some pretty interesting colors too! Thanks for posting. Mark Terry's Tid Bits II - dawson_fire - 01-05-2007 First I want to thank everyone for the compliments and the info!! I don't know about the 4-Guys part but I thought the 2 plates on the pump panel was interesting. Tonight's post is from the Columbia Hose Co. of Shenandoah,Pa. and their 2006 Pierce Enforcer 1500gpm with job#18477. Terry Terry's Tid Bits II - dawson_fire - 01-09-2007 Harmony Twp,Pa.(?) runs this Smeal pumper on their own chassis which I think is a take off on a Spartan. Terry Terry's Tid Bits II - dawson_fire - 01-09-2007 Leonardtown,Md. recently replaced this old Seagrave 100' aerial with a new Seagrave which I have not yet photographed. Terry Terry's Tid Bits II - hungrybus - 01-09-2007 Terry, rumor has it that the old Leonardtown Seagrave is going to 1 of 2 places, Baltimore City as a Reserve, and I heard it might be going to Odenton VFD in Anne Arundel County to run while there 2005 Seagrave/RKA is being repaired after failing it's ladder test. Only rumors though, we'll have to see what happens. Terry's Tid Bits II - Guest - 01-09-2007 A 2005 failing it's ladder test. Did you hear what the failure was? Thanks!! Terry's Tid Bits II - dawson_fire - 01-09-2007 Hey Bus, As soon as I posted it I thought of Baltimore and the possibility of it ending up there but had not heard of Odenton's problems. Thanks for the heads up... Terry Terry's Tid Bits II - GA_Dave - 01-10-2007 Quote:Harmony Twp,Pa.(?) runs this Smeal pumper on their own chassis which I think is a take off on a Spartan. You can't be "Sirius", can you? <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hysterical.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> Yes, Terry, it's a Spartan chassis exclusive to Smeal. The only real difference is the front panel below the windshield, from door hinge to door hinge. Same cab with other front panels include the Gladiator Classic, the Evolution, and the Rosenbauer Commander AT ("Spartanbauer"). |
