Inside the building is mostly open and the TCU was about the same size as an engine. From what I was told the engines were "stacked" one behind the other and Ladder 31 and TCU were side by side and come out one bay. The Chief parked out front alot of the time. If they did park inside, it was usally later at night and the TCU was off duty and back at its NORMAL station.

Remember that the TCU worked 8 or 10 hours I think. The rigs were kept elsewhere and picked up at the start of their shifts. Then driven to the OPERATION area and then returned home.

They still will add an engine here sometimes if someones house is being worked on. IF this happends it is a company from near by and does not change responses too much.

Hope this helps.

Can you provide info on where to order it?

Thanks

once again Fdny fire houses - Guest - 10-27-2006

Please disregard my last post on FHNY. I found it on line and have already ordered it. Looking forward to it.

FDNY- a gold mine of classic Fire Houses. Many of them still in service from the horse drawn days.

Thanks for your help.

I found it on "Firefighters Bookstore" <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hail.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Hail' />
