One thing I noticed, Dodge at one time sold alot of larger chassis trucks. I know that in Central New York, they were quite popular in the late 40's and 50's. I appreciate your ability to feature Joel and Bob's photography from 30+ years ago. In my opinion, both of these men were pioneers in apparatus photography here in Maryland. Barton Hose's early attempt at an engine-tanker had a 1600 gal. tank and lasted until 1978. Chains were once common on fire equipment in mountainous Western Maryland, where winter can go from Halloween thru April Fool's Day. When the chains were left on the trucks for long periods, response time was slowed if run on bare roads. No doubt Joel visited Barton during a winter "thaw". <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> Baltimore County MD - Guest - 11-09-2006 [quote name='Dr. Stinebaugh' post='50017' date='Nov 9 2006, 18:04 ']<img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hail.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> Another winner, Commish!
