this one has a nice history. first Ladder truck after the 1919 City annexation disbanded Ladder 12 from the Roland Park fire house

'49 Seagrave placed in service as Truck 1 stationed at the Dundalk Station #6. Unmanned, firemen would get it if needed in the county.

Moved to Station 1 in Towson in 1955 when new building was completed.

1965-'66 was redesignated Truck 13 and assighned to Station 12 in Middle River

Became Truck 15 in Eastview when that station opened in '66

Became Truck 13 again in 1967 at the Westview Station #13

Became Truck 17 in 1973

1974 became the first Reserve Truck in the County Fleet

Nice collection of pictures, keep them coming. One thing I noticed, Dodge at one time sold alot of larger chassis trucks. I know that in Central New York, they were quite popular in the late 40's and 50's.

Gotts love those Chains!![/quote]

<img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hail.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Hail' /> Another winner, Commish! I appreciate your ability to feature Joel and Bob's photography from 30+ years ago. In my opinion, both of these men were pioneers in apparatus photography here in Maryland.

Barton Hose's early attempt at an engine-tanker had a 1600 gal. tank and lasted until 1978. Chains were once common on fire equipment in mountainous Western Maryland, where winter can go from Halloween thru April Fool's Day. When the chains were left on the trucks for long periods, response time was slowed if run on bare roads. No doubt Joel visited Barton during a winter "thaw". <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Tongue' />
