Chicago Fire Department - Guest - 08-11-2006 TL 54 Chicago Fire Department - Guest - 08-11-2006 106 Chicago Fire Department - Guest - 08-11-2006 76 Chicago Fire Department - Guest - 08-11-2006 Some info on air sea rescue...they have 3 choppers normally but one was recently given over to CPD and 681 was lost to a crash about a month ago..they lost power to the tailrotor and made an autorotation landing but then flipped over once on the ground..several members hurt but all seem to be doing ok and some are back to work..the chopper crew is a pilot, co pilot and 2 divers..they respond to all dive/water rescue incidents on the lakefront and river...they also respond to hi rise fires to provide aerial recon..they do not do any medical evac This is a 24/7 365 operation Chicago Fire Department - Engine504Driver - 08-11-2006 Where is the Air Sea Rescue facility located ?? The only thing that should have been behind the hangar buildings that were left at Meigs should be water, and the skyline of the downtown buildings. But I could be wrong too ! Was kind of hoping Srresuire could tell us, as he was there to take those pics !!! Chris |
