I thought Rehab five was entitled to red lights. Did they get pulled?

I never noticed this myself until you pointed it out. I took a look around and found some older pictures of this truck, and even then it had amber lights. Apparently this vehicle is intended for non-emergency use at special events and such, which MAY explain the lack of red lights. Although this picture shows differently as I'm assuming this is the 2nd alarm in Chelsea the other day.

As far as I know everything else they run has red warning lights. I saw one of their trucks at a fire in Ipswich a few weeks ago and it did.

Also, in case anyone wasn't aware, it was reported on Firenews.org that Rehab 5 now has Wilmington's old Rescue 1 and will be converting that into a canteen truck.

Even though Roger Baker owns this van, It's not a "Rehab 5" vehicle. He doesn't do any fire scene rehab from this vehicle. If you can see the plates in the pics, notice that they're regular plates. That's why there's no red lights on the van.

Roger still has red lights on the rigs. This is his daily driver. Notice the lack of red 'Disaster' plates like the other rigs. This one is configured for events, carrying the grille and an entertainment center. (There were guys watching movies inside it at the Lynnfield muster.) It can also double to do rehab in a pinch.

Roger sure does know how to cater an incident. <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/popcorn.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Popcorn' />

Who si Roger, why did he start Rehab Five and why did he name it like he did. What about the Red Cross and Sally Army?

Roger started doing the "Rehab Thing" many moons ago. He's a buff just like the rest of us. He did work under the umbrella of the Salvation Army for a while but they wanted him to start wearing their uniforms and following their rules... <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tisktisk.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Tisktisk' /> ahhhhh...no... <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_crazy.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Icon_crazy' />

Roger broke away from the Salvation Army and now does Rehab 5 on his own (well, him and the guys who help him). <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Thumbsup' /> He calls it Rehab 5 because, initally, he serviced only Fire District 5 in MA but he's starting to spread his wings a little outside of Dist. 5.

By the way, ask any Brother on the North Shore of MA what they think of Roger and his boys... <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yourock.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Yourock' /> ...

It wasn't at the fire as far as I know. The shot was taken on the side of Chelsea's headquarters

Where does Roger Baker get his funding from to buy all these vehicles, and supplies? And who dispatches him to emergencies?
