There are 3 tankers in Wolcott along with the ladder tower. All 3 tankers were refurbed by E\-One. The tower ladder was refurbished by ALF & LTI

Salem used to be part of the New London County numberings system until Salem FD and Gardner Lake FD chaned to the Eastner CT numbering system.
"K" was the "town code" for both Salem fire companies. The first number denoted which station or department in the town, "1" was Salem FD and "2" was Garder Lake FD. The last number denotes what type of apparatus. 1 through 4 were engines, engine tankers, tankers, brush units, ect., 5 was an aerial device truck (ladders, towers, quints, tele-squirts), 6 typically were service vehicles though some forestry / brush units were allowed to use it, and 7 are rescues and hazmats.
So K-13 is Town of Salem, Salem Fire Department Engine Tanker 3.
For example of this numbering system I'll use my department to lay it out
F-1 Chief
F-10 Deputy Chief
F-11 Engine 1
F-12 Engine 2
F-15 Tower 1
F-16 Service vehicle
F-17 Hazmat 1
F-18 Assistant Chief
The Town of Salem is in New London County but changed thier numbering system to the Eastern CT system in the 1980s. Salem is now Station 21 and Gardner Lake is Station 22 (I believe).

This one is still in service in Flovilla, GA where it has served as Engine 2 for over 25 years.
