OK having read these three responses, which serial number, year is this ride? The photo shows 2273-M as the photo number.

John, the information supplied by DESOTO should be correct, L-1691, shipped 8 May 42.

Here's the twin to Truck 8, Truck 10, a 1982 Century series, Water-Chief, 1000/500/100ft RM. For some reason, I remember that these two were not purchased in 1982, but later in the 80's, as they were surplus at the ALF factory, sorry, can't find the notes from the 80's.

Anyone know where this rig came from in NJ? Its a 2007 American LaFrance 2000/1000. Apparently it served a Vol. Dept in NJ under a 5 yr lease. Its now in Shawnee Heights, KS.

got the serial #? it is one of two that Voorhees, NJ leased in 2006. Voorhees likes to lease apparatus, this was the second set of ALF pumpers they had leased.

As I recall, Trucks 8 and 10 from Colorado Springs, along with Truck 13 from Cleveland were all built for export orders that were cancelled.

[/quote]I knew there was a order that was cancelled for the Colorado Springs order but didn't realize Cleveland had a rig from the same order. Do you remember what year that was? Thanks Ga. Dave

I didn't say they were from the same order. The Cleveland rigs (something like ten pumpers and a couple aerials) were destined for Mexico City in 1979. The Colorado Springs rigs were from 1982-1983 and supposed to go to Brazil.

Here is the back yard at Emira in 1983. These vehicles were set to go to Brazil but the order was cancelled. Many apologies for the quality of the picture, I was 18 at the time.

Here's 2 ALF's from Wood-Ridge, New Jersey. First up is a ALF Century Cab/Saulsbury Squad.

Next up is a ALF Century 2000 Cab, (I believe that was the name of the cab) Water-Chief.
