Unit used by Nelson Ambulance.

If you ever wondered what an ambulance looks like naked, well, you can stop wondering. This was in the line with the above Nelson rig.

Ambulances - Guest - 05-29-2010

Finally this old school hearse-style ambulance in line with the above 2 units.

Can anyone supply information about "Mobile Medical" brand ambulances? There are a few rigs lingering in service in New Jersey. Would be curious to know the story about this company.

From what I can recall I think they stopped making units in 1994 maybe? I know there are still a couple here in SC still on the road. I know a local FD had a hard time getting their 1994 finished and it turned into a struggle.

Mobile medical went out of business back in the 1990's. I believe they were located in decatur indiana.

We (Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital EMS) had one until one of our guys blew a light and T-Boned a civilian's vehicle. Fastest truck we had (speed did not contribute to said accident). Turbo diesel equipped.

Campion ambulance with an interesting "filmstrip" style reflective striping on the side and rear chevrons. This unit is quartered in Cheshire, CT (not with the FD) with a Paramedic flycar and a spare ambulance.
