This aerial was delivered new to the MMP&W Fire Company of Mercersburg, PA. It's a 1963 Seagrave 900KAB with a 100gpm pump, 300 gal of water and a 65' Seagrave aerial. It carries Seagrave S/N # N-8845. According to MMP&W's website, this truck was donated to a Fire Dept. somewhere in Tennessee during the 1990's. I'm going out on a limb and saying this un-named FD in TN traded the truck into Wynn Fire Apparatus for something different sometime in the 2000's. The truck still appears to be in decent shape, not too far away from show condition! I wonder if MMP&W would be interested in buying this truck back?

This was donated in Feb,2000 to the Campbell County Rural Fire Service in LaFollette,Tenn. About $3,500, small equipment, and even the flatbed truck to haul it was given by about 6 area FD's in MD. and PA. to help out this struggling dept.
Ironically, this rig served Lewisburg,Tenn., before going to MMPW in 1986.

It was in McLean County, KY. It is between Island and Central City, KY on US 431
The other photos that I took has this old Seagrave between those two localities
Looking at it again it does appear that someone did cut it down and brought the fifth wheel up behind the cab

Thanks Doc!!! So if I understand correctly, this Seagrave was delivered new to Lewisburg, TN, which is due south of Nashville. Lewisburg, TN sold it to MMP&W Fire Co. in Mercersburg, PA in 1986. And in 2000, MMP&W donated this truck to Campbell County Fire Services in LaFollette, TN. Is that correct?

Possibly a former Chanute AFB (Illinois) structure rig in a courtyard of a building there. Doors were locked and all traces of anything on the exterior are long gone. Looks like it was used as a snow plow at some point by the new owner.

Thanks for posting this, I never thought I'd see this rig again. I remember seeing it sitting outside Linebrook on our weekend family trips up Route 1 to New Hampshire. I remember passing by one time just as it was being towed away to it's final resting place.
If you have anymore old North Shore stuff I'd love to see it.

Now that this rig has been identified as the former Buffalo Township rig, I have a bit more info to add. It was built by Portersville Welding (Portersville, PA). It's a 1250/1200. I have a halfway decent shot of it from when it was Tanker 27 that I can post later.

Hey James, was that Mack R-Model from Sea Breeze in Irondequoit NY??? They had an R-Model, sort of looks like their Indian Head Logo on the door.
(They have a Tournament Team known as "the Indians", Irondequoit is Seneca Indian for "where the land and waters meet.)

I remember this rig very well, it saw plenty of fires, and many EMS runs as well. It ran in front line service up until about 2002 when Ridge-Culver replaced this rig along with two other rigs with 3 identical Crimson Pumpers. When I can find my pics of this rig in service, I'll post a couple of pics of it, and it's replacement as well.

I saw this rig, and photographed it when I was up in Maine on a trip for my work back in 2006 I believe it was. I actually stopped and tried to get some close up pics of it, but couldn't find any ID plates on it at all. If my memory serves me correct this rig is located near the coast, just a few miles North of Portsmouth,NH near the Maine-NH border. I will have to look for my pics of it, and post them as soon as I can find them.

To my knowledge these trucks belong to Andy Weir which is the chief of the West Chester VFD. that was the little department was about a 1/2 mile up the road. The department goes back like 3 or generations.

John, this one is not our old R Mack, although I do wish someone could come across a picture of it in it's current whereabouts. I was just looking at some pictures of it in our 100th anniversary history book, and the grille is different, and also the front bumper is also different, and ours also didn't have the little red lights next to the headlights on it. Also in all of the pictures I have seen of our R Mack, this was the only Mack out of all of the ones in our fleet over the years which never had the Indian Head on the doors of it, it was only lettered for the Sea Breeze Volunteer Fire Association. If anyone does have any pics of it either before delivery to us, and or after we got rid of it, I would love to see some of them so please do post them if you have them. The rig was designated as pumper 191 when it was in service, and I have been told it may have been sold to a dept somewhere up in Maine when it was replaced with a 1989 Mack MC - Saulsbury pumper.
