It's been mentioned on some other boards that Pierce would have a tough time meeting LA County FD spec's.

Pierce can meet their spec if they wanted to. They just don't believe it is worth it. Similar to the reason they don't bid FDNY. They aren't one to bend a lot and L.A County use some very specific parts and pieces.
