Here is Concordville Pa's 1989 Mack / 4 Guys Tanker having the tank removed. To my understanding this truck was sold to a local tow company and they are turning it into a heavy duty wrecker.

Concordville is replacing the chassis with an International. Yes, the Mack is going to a local towing service in Concordville to be made into a heavy wrecker.

Hi back John, glad to see you're on this group, I wasn't sure if you belonged or not until I saw your post. I knew you were on the Mack list but I'm glad you're on this one too, as there's tons of great pics and info on this one everyday. I hated to do it. But this 40's vintage Seagrave originally from Bangor Maine was in such bad shape <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='

This may not classify as a "Sad End" for this rig, as it is still being used in a useful capacity as part of the ladder testing process at Seagrave.
It is a retired FDNY rig.

Heres a couple from a recent trip. Found these 2 in a farm equipment lot in Brewton, Alabama. The 1 st rig is a 1974 Hahn from Castleberry, Al. Just up the road from Brewton, but I Imagine it didn't start out there.

Chicago Illinois- 1957 Ford F700 Ex-Chicago Fire Insurance Patrol rig. This was in the Fire Museum of Greater Chicago's collection and was given away this year to one of their members.

(Same Truck Circa early 60's) After the Patrol disbanded in 1959 it was purchased by the Skokie IL Fire Department and was used as their Salvage Squad 2.

Here is the ex York County PA, ex Houston Tx rig located in Prince William County Va at the Dumfries Landfill along Interstate 95. They pulled the motor to put into a loader and the rest is going to scrap. They allowed me to pick through the rig and take waht I wanted from it. I now have a spare FeralQ.
