Gentlemen:

Having rode the backstep of the 1960 Mack N/Harwick (unit 173) of Quakertown Fire Company No.1 to my first fire as a "Junior" Fireman in 197-something (my father was riding shotgun and my Great Uncle was driving!), it's specifications included a 750gpm pump, 1200 gallon tank, 40' Bangor ladder and Hard Sleeves in the Hosebody, 20 gallon "Protein" Foam tank and Akron eductor, 2 inlet deluge gun, 2 booster reels originally equiped with Hardie Guns, a preconnected 1.5" in the hosebed, Federal Q and a bell. It replaced a 1955 Dodge Tanker wrecked in a fatal collision on Rt. 309 ( a similar fate would befall West End's Mack C/Maxim 85' aerial in the 1980's).

It was sold to Haycock Fire Company in 1976 for $7,000.00, and was in turn sold by Haycock in the 1980's to a Fire Department in Tenn. I would like to know any information on it's present location and condition, along with any other rigs from Quakertown No.1 or Coatesville, PA, communities (and FD's) where I have strong family ties.

Thanks! <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/3_12_21.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='3_12_21' /> <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/Captain.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Captain' />

Tennessee is a pretty big place. If you can narrow it down a bit, one of us might be able to locate it. I'd love to shoot it as it would be my first Mack N. Knowing Tennessee as I do, there's a good chance it's still in service.
