Empire State Oldies - Guest - 05-20-2009
Would it be a Pierce Lance?
Arrow Cab Empire State Oldies - kieferfire - 05-21-2009 Arrow cab with a Lance fake grill. Juergen Empire State Oldies - Frank B - 05-21-2009 I must have missed the trick Question, some one may have to splane it to me. <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_redface.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> Any one know what part of the truck is still Hahn? looks like Pierce did a total replacement on this. The fire company had a 1987 Lance and the refurb was built to match it, but the original chassis design was that of an Arrow. The Lance cab is a split-tilt design, the Arrow is a fixed cab. The Arrow moulding on the cab sides give it away. The only Lance I ever saw with those mouldings was a piss-poor representation of an Arrow platform that Code 3 did for Castle Shannon, PA! <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/deadhorse.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> A glider refurb usually means that the former rig's mechanical componants, such as the motor, transmission, pump and rear axle are used, but about everything else is new. The Morton FD covers both Monroe and also Orleans Counties for fire protection. Hope you all have enjoyed this installment of pics to this thread. More to come soon.
Where was this picture taken at? I couldn't help but notice the Whelen alert siren in the picture and being the siren wacker that I am.. I need to amass this knowledge in the rolo-dex in my head. <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hysterical.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hysterical.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> Thank you, Dave "Roofsiren" Fritz Empire State Oldies - smketrfdny - 05-25-2009
Oceanside, LI,NY 1971 Mack 75' Ron Bogardus collection
This rig went to Geneseo,NY IIRC. Mexico had at one time 3 similar Ford Youngs, so I am not sure which on this is, ( sorry I didn't get any info ). I believe it to be the newer of the three and posibly a 76 or a 77. Now it owned by its second private owner. McLaughlin Photo Tim/csff25 Empire State Oldies - Guest - 06-02-2009 Stoney Point,NY 1951 Mack 750/300 Ron Bogardus photo |
