Ford C Series Chassis Fire Apparatus - Guest - 03-25-2008

About 20 years ago I remember stopping at Montvale, NJ to photograph their famous Crown pumps. They also had a Ford C-series rescue with a sloped-back body (Swab comes to mind but not completely sure). It was one of the first diesel C-series Fords as it had a small Cummins in it (185 hp I think). Anyone know what rig I'm referring to?

Don't know if this is what you are referring to, bu I have this pic from God knows when of Montvale's Sqd M6 - a 1970/88 Ford C/Swab.

That truck was originally a 1970 Ford C as you stated, but with an H&H Rescue Body on it. I believe Frank Welgoski posted a pic on the old board of it in the original configuration.
