Pacific Northwest - Bryce - 11-13-2016 Bellevue voters just passed a property tax increase for fire facilities with a 57% yes vote. It will build a new Station 10 in north downtown, replace stations 4 and 5, remodel station 6, perform seismic upgrades at all their other stations, build a logistics warehouse, and upgrade the training center. The plan is to completely reorient the department, with the 2 Lightforces eventually moving to stations 4 and 6 once the upgrades are done, and the capability to add a third Lightforce downtown. My guess is that Medic 1 will move out of Overlake Hospital and into Station 10 when it is done, as it will be very close to Overlake. You can read the facilities plan here: http://www.ci.bellevue.wa.us/pdf/Fire/BFD_Facilities_Master_Plan.pdf Pacific Northwest - derry86 - 11-16-2016 Can you give a run down of the hoseloads on the Belleview pumps? thanks! Is one of those slated to go to E10? Thanks. Great pics too. E28 and E10 have been assigned the first two Enforcers. E28 has been using their's since the middle of the year. While E10's crew was just starting drivers training the driving instructor had an accident while backing and caused some serious damage to the rig. The body damage has been repaired but I'm not sure when it will be going into service. Pacific Northwest - DaveYoung - 12-17-2016 Quote:Thanks for the info. The TDA you're referring to is the other 2006 Crimson unit that was originally assigned to L1 and then L11. It has recently been replaced by a 2016 dual tandem axial TDA assigned as L11 at temporary station 32 in West Seattle. I'm not sure whether it will be assigned to the reserve fleet or used in front line service at this time. See photo, post 1623 Feb 4, 2016 Thanks for the interest!
