I have a few vintage Mack E photos from Kansas.

Johnson County Mission Twp 1947 Mack E 75 S #2328

[/quote]

This Department renamed in 1962 Johnson County Consolidated Fire District Two (CFD2). A Consolidation of Mission TWP Fire Districts Two and Three. Now know as CFD 2.

Mission TWP Fire District 2 was the first fully career fire department in Johnson County, Kansas. They were career from day one of operation in January of 1947. This Mack E served at Fire House 2 from 1947 until 1960 when it was sold to Gardner, Kansas in Southern Johnson County. Gardner sold it 2001. It is now privately owned here in Kansas City by a group of retired Fire Chief's.

Stay Safe,

Parsons, Kansas Fire Department (Labette County)

Parsons is a fully career fire department found in 1819. They have six firemen per shift and a Chief of Department for a total strength of nineteen. They suffered a reduction in force in the late 1980's and lost the five total, the seventh man on each shift, Asst Chief, and Fire Marshal. They respond from two fire houses and staff two engine's while cross-staffing the truck and rescue. They began returning to RED in 1999 after purchasing three units in Lime-Green starting in 1977. Labette County Medical Center provides the ALS Ambulance Transport. Parsons Fire Department only responds for life threatening medical conditions. Parsons averages 700 total runs a year.

I shot this new delivery for Concordia, KS on a dreary, rainy day about a month ago when it was sitting at the dealers shop in York, NE. I hope to get to Concordia to shoot it again on a nice birght sunny day.

Back in May I had a meeting at Tonganoxie Fire, so after the meeting was over I managed to shoot the fleet seeing as they were all pulled out on the ramp already. Tongie is a combination department located between KCK and Lawrence off of I-70.
