[/quote] This appears to be an E Model of the 1940's, not a 1955. Crusin' Carolina - Andrew2340 - 01-24-2009 It's a 1955 Mack Model 50 that carries Chassis # 50-S-1012. By the way, nice finds Gary!! What part of SC did you find that Seagrave & the Ford C/Howe in? I'm not familiar with the intersection of I-82 & SC HWY-8. I was wrong, wow I said that!! <img src='http://www.firepics.net/groupboards/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> I didn't think Mack built them after the 1951 or 1952. Crusin' Carolina - e290l103 - 01-24-2009 ok, ready.... its either a 1937 or 1938. As a Fire Apparatus, the E Model was built between 1937 and 1950. there were 45 type 50's built. Serial number 50S-1030 is a 1939, listed in the SPAAMFAA listing as being owned by the Fire Museum of Maryland, and I believe was Ex-Bel Air, MD. based on that, the one in Tryon is a year or 2 older than the one in Maryland. Spring is a northern suburb of Houston. I will show this link to a co-worker who is a Volly Chief there.
