No, its not pink NYPD - Guest - 09-24-2006 NJMedic, Thanks for posting do you or anybody have a listing of the Harbor units and their locations? If so could you please post or e-mail off list. Thanks NYPD - Guest - 10-04-2006 Found this new SWAtunit for the NYPD on the LDV website. It is listed as a SWAT unit and it does do a nice array of photos. Here is the link http://www.ldvusa.com/HSV/delivered.asp?Type=SWAT Does anyone know anything more about the rig and where it is housed. I am betting at Floyd Bennett Field. Thanks for any help. NYPD - Guest - 10-04-2006 The NYPD has what is called the "A-Team". The "A-Team" or Apprehension Team is made up of ESU officers detailed from various squads around the city. They execute most of the high risk warrents. Basically if there is time to plan the raid, the A-team is used. I suspect that is where this truck is going. In times past they used a marked NPYD van or regular ESU large truck. In any event I doubt this would fool too many people as they are usually accompanied by unmarked CV and Impalas that just scream "Police". Then again I could be wrong. When I get home tonight I will check into Harbor for you. What I have off the top of my head might not be right and I want to confirm the info. NYPD - Guest - 10-04-2006 NJMedic Thanks, I think I have a photo of a 1994 ford van used by the A Team, I will dig it out. Thanks in advance for the Harbor Units NYPD - Guest - 10-04-2006 Harbor Adam, 158-57 Cross Bay Boulevard, Qns Harbor Charlie, 58th Street, Bklyn Harbor George 14th Avenue, Qns Harbor Scuba Launch, 58th Street, Bklyn Harbor also has a repair shop on Randell's Island, under the Triboro/East River Bridge. I think they have some seasonal bases because I thought they have some launchs in the Bronx near City Island. Aviation also has two divers at their FBF for Air/Sea/Rescue. I haven't been to a harbor base in a while but the main patrol boat out of each base usually IDs as "Harbor ______" and the other boats ID with their Launch number. I know Corrections has (or had) an old NYPD boat they used at Riker's Island. The US Park Police has a boat based at the Statue of Liberty. The NJSP has a base in Port Newark and you will also set them in the Hudson River and the Arthur Kill. Newark's marine unit is next door to the NJSP and police and fire share a new boat. Jersey City has a new fireboat and I will post pictures tonight when I get home if I'm awake enough. Perth Amboy also received new fireboat last year.
