Rusling replaced it with a badass Seagrave TDA. Interestingly enough, Rusling had offered to give that quint to Rescue29Engine23's fire company but their station is not large enough to house it.

moosic pa greenwood hose co lackawanna county ran this 1962 ward lafrance it was repainted li,me green then back to real fire engine color--red before selling it to fleetville pa lackawanna wyoming c ounties. they used it a few years before scrapping it. it has since been crushed

this 1968 international loadstar ward lafrance 1000gpm 500 gwt started out at west wyoming pa #2 luzerne county it was sold to scott township pa montdale lackawanna county who used it a few years before selling it to jessup pa #2 lackawanna county who also used it a while before selling it to boots & hanks salvage yard in scranton pa where it remains today

franl, our 42 mackl in kingston was the same way most chrome was added by fire co when they restored it after it went out of service. it was amazing how much brass was painted over but it was as you said war time and brass was scarce
